I really think the white boards should be shut down for "technical reasons" [img]wink.gif[/img] for at least a week after any major news release. Maybe even longer so the ungrateful bastards find something or someplace else to "play".

I agree with that-Most of the past Movie Maniacs, along with most of Todd's "Movie" lines are just filler for me.
Stuff like the Matrix and (most of) the Terminator stuff I wouldn't even pick up if it was made by another company-

There's a difference between sharing a negative opinion of something and blatant disrespect.
For too long, the Spawn board has been flooded by completely obnoxious, uninformed, childish, and mean-spirited people.
I just can't post there any more.
Every other thread is a fight, and I'm not going to waste my time arguing about toys with some sexually-frustrated 15 year-old dork who thinks he knows everything.
If the Spawn.com toy forum closed, I wouldn't be surprised... it's become more trouble than it's worth, and it's obvious that Jon can't handle the babysitti-- I mean, moderating alone.
I have to give props to Jon for really doing his best to get the board on track, on topic, and to boost relations with the fans by having the 20 Q&A's feature, official discussion threads, official polls, etc... too bad his efforts have been wasted on complete assholes.

I think the majority of what you said was misunderstood, baimun. At least that "**** huggers" comment. Looked like you were putting down people who enjoy and collect their stuff.
MoaK gets a tad bit defensive on the subject for the same reason you've stated for your defense of McFarlane...his friends run the company. You've hung out with, talked to, and gotten goodies from Steve, and he's the same way with Tankman. So yeah, he's gonna take offense to it. Human nature, I guess. He's a tad bit overzealous sometimes, but that's just him. I talk to him more than just about anyone else on the board, so I probably have a different view of the mean little bastard than alot of you.
Anyway, that was the biggest problem in your thread...the misunderstanding. Personally, 3 figures I don't want out of dozens I do doesn't make a lick of difference to me. I don't think they're the best figures for the MM lineup, but I'm not losing any sleep over them. There's a company for movie figures, and there's a company for bad ass, original in-house figures. Everybody wins.

eh. I don't see the point in bitching about lines you don't like. I probably won't be getting any of the MM figures. But that doesn't bother me. I have TS3, s26, reborn, and monsters 3 to keep me more than happy, provided that the figures are as good as I hope they will be. If not, well, no problem. the money I don't spend on those figures will go towards my various other hobbies.
